Scott is a native of Greenville, South Carolina and has been married to his wife for over 25 years. They have three children including two sons in college and a daughter in high school. Scott graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He spent the first 9 years of his career working for Michelin North America, Inc. in sales and brand marketing. Having experienced personal life change through getting connected in the local church, Scott eventually left the corporate world and came on staff with Grace Church in Greenville where he pastored for over 22 years. In caring for church leaders and members, Scott learned the value of creating meaningful connection points for people navigating life and faith. During that time, he developed a love for knowing others deeply and walking alongside them through the challenges of life.
Scott has trained through the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation and is certified through the Association of Biblical Counselors, Scott is looking forward to continuing to walk alongside and encourage others as a biblical counselor.
Scott brings a calm and approachable presence to biblical counseling and has a deep passion for building trust and helping others feel seen and supported.
In his spare time, Scott loves exploring South Carolina’s state parks, and so far he has visited 25 of America's national parks with family or friends. He enjoys spending time outdoors on long walks or hikes, and he loves a good family adventure. It’s also common to find him enjoying lunch with one of his friends at his favorite lunch spot, the Pita House.
